The room depends on voluntary funding. Money is raised by various means including the sale of good quality books in the room each morning. If you would like to help in any way, please visit the room where you will be made very welcome by the volunteer staff.
We sell nearly-new books in good condition, both fiction and non fiction, as well as children's titles when available.
We hope that this service assists patients who would perhaps have difficulty walking, the opportunity to purchase popular titles whilst attending a medical appointment.
The Michael Witt Room is open daily from 9.15 until 12.15, where a trained volunteer is always on hand to welcome and help you. Our volunteers are:
Marcelle, (who also manages the room), Margaret, Anna and Jim.
We work closely with the medical staff and management at the surgery to assist all patients as needed.
We would love to meet you, so feel free to visit during normal opening hours.
